Your privacy is very important to us at TMU Psychosomatic Symptom Management Lab and we appreciate that you are trusting us with your personal information. Here are a few of our fundamental privacy principles:

Our privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) explains the information we collect, how we use and share it, how to control your data, and your rights in connection to when you use our applications. Unless indicated otherwise, this Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party products or services or the practices of companies that we do not own or control, including other companies you might interact within or through Sleep Well. TMU Psychosomatic Symptom Management Lab collects, uses, shares and otherwise processes information we have about you for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including:

● We do this mainly in order to provide and improve the Sleep Well services, but also to develop tailored offerings to you as a user on a sustained basis, as well as to keep Sleep Well safe and secure by protecting against fraud, spam, and abuse etc.

Information We Collect

TMU Psychosomatic Symptom Management Lab collects information about you, including information that directly or indirectly identifies you, if you choose to share it with Sleep Well. We receive information in multiple ways about when and how you are using Sleep Well. There are also several opportunities for you to share information about yourself and your activities with Sleep Well.

Account information

TWe collect information such as email address to help us secure access to Sleep Well if you do create an account.

Use information

We collect information when you choose to use Sleep Well with our online backup service (such as date, time, sleep quality information and other statistical data).

Contact information

If you chose to provide us with your contact information, for example by emailing us, we will use this to respond to support requests and comments.

Technical information

We collect technical information from the devices you use to access Sleep Well. This information is used to analyze trends and protect and secure Sleep Well. The information collected includes network information; including IP addresses, timestamps, log files, and operating system.

How We Use Information

TMU Psychosomatic Symptom Management Lab uses the information we collect to analysis the sleep condition from Sleep Well. At this point, the data will be aggregated and de-identified from any personal data. All the data will be protected in TMU Psychosomatic Symptom Management Lab.

Service Providers

TMU Psychosomatic Symptom Management Lab may share your personally identifiable information with third parties (like hosting and market analytics) for the purpose of providing services to you. If we do this, such third parties’ use of your information will be bound by restrictions consistent with this Privacy Policy. We may store personal information in locations outside the direct control of TMU Psychosomatic Symptom Management Lab (for instance, on servers or databases co-located with hosting providers).

Legal Requirements

We continuously work to keep your data safe in Sleep Well from the collection, transmission, and storage of the data we collect. We use a combination of technical controls to maintain the security of your data. This includes using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS) and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to encrypt many of our services and ensure that information is transmitted and stored securely in our services.

Your Rights

You can at any time contact our support by mailing hychiu0315@tmu.edu.tw to get your personal data deleted. If you are not a subscriber to our online backup services you can simply just uninstall the app in order to remove any stored data. Notifications and Email Preferences

It is our policy to provide notifications, whether such notifications are required by law or are for marketing or other business related purposes, to you via an email notice. If you inform us that you wish to cancel email newsletters or promotional materials by selecting unsubscribe at the bottom of such communication or by emailing us at hychiu0315@tmu.edu.tw, we will remove you from our mailing list. If you no longer wish to receive push notifications, you may turn them off at the device level. Administrative or service-related emails (to confirm a purchase, updates to Privacy Policy, etc.) generally do not offer an option to unsubscribe as they are necessary to provide the services you requested.
You can stop receiving certain notifications by disabling notifications for Sleep Well on a device level. You may also unsubscribe by following the clear instructions contained at the bottom of each email. Administrative or service-related emails (to confirm a purchase, updates to Privacy Policy, etc.) generally do not offer an option to unsubscribe as they are necessary to provide the services you requested.

Access Your Data

If you do not have an account then no personal information will be stored outside the device being used. By creating and/or logging in to your account, you can then access your information across devices.

Editing and Deleting Your data

You can delete specific recorded activities, for example, sleep sessions or comments posted by yourself.

Data Retention

We keep information as long as it is necessary to operate Sleep Well. We keep all of your information until you either delete your account or if your account has been inactive for a certain amount of time, whichever happens first. Following the deletion of your account, it may take up to 30 days to fully delete your personal information from our systems.
Additionally, we may retain information from deleted accounts to comply with the law, prevent fraud, collect fees, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, assist with investigations, enforce the Terms of Use or take other actions permitted by law. The information we retain will be handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Children

If you are under the age 16 you are not allowed to create an account or submit any personal data through Sleep Well. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet use and to help us enforce our Privacy Policy by instructing their children to never provide any personal data through Sleep Well.

If we learn that we have accessed and stored personal information about a child under the minimum required age, we will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible.

Changes to This Policy

TMU Psychosomatic Symptom Management Lab have the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time, so please review it occasionally. We will notify you before we make any substantial changes to this Privacy Policy and give you an opportunity to review the revised policy.
Any and all material changes shall come into effect between you and TMU Psychosomatic Symptom Management Lab upon your acceptance of such changes (e.g. by using Sleep Well after such notification has been made to you or renewing your subscription).
If you object to any change in the Privacy Policy you should immediately ask us for an account deletion and stop using Sleep Well.
